+Tuition at a reduced rate for Contributing OMGC Parishioners:

Families registered with OMGC Parish with recorded contributions of $1,100 or more annually

(July 1, 2018 - June 30, 2019) qualify for the Contributing Parishioner rate.  As Our Mother of Good Counsel Parish supports its parish school, tithing to the parish is considered support for the school as well, which justifies a reduced tuition rate.  (Please see Parish Business Manager for up-to-date parishioner contribution records.)

The parish contribution report is generated July 1 and SMART tuition accounts are assessed a tuition rate based on contributions through June 30.

If you are not currently registered with the parish and would like to donate to the parish to receive the reduced rate, please contact the school principal.  All donations must be made prior to 6/30/19 to qualify for the reduced 2019-2020 tuition rate.  All contributions after June 30 will apply towards the 2020-2021 school year tuition rate.

1) Can I still qualify for the contributing rate?
Yes - you have until June 30th to contribute $1,100 or more for the reduced 2019-2020 tuition rate.  Contributions can be weekly, monthly or a lump sum.  Contributions can be made weekly in parish envelopes or online.  Contact the parish bookkeeper for more details. (323) 664-2111 x131
2) Can I qualify using joint family contributions?
Yes - but you need to let Ms. Essman know the names in your household, so that when reports are run, she knows which families to combine.
3) Why is there a different rate?
Because those families already contributing to the parish are indirectly contributing to the school.  The reduced rate is to accommodate for those families already giving.
4) Do I have to be a registered parishioner to donate $1,100?
You have to be registered to have an envelope number.  If you are registered at OMGC and contribute the $1,100 but attend church elsewhere, your contribution will still qualify you for the contributing rate.
5) I have other questions or concerns.
Please make time to speak with Ms. Essman (323) 664-2131
