This program allows students to explore new subject matters that appeal to them outside of their regular classes.
Open to students in Grades 1-8, this program allows children to pursue areas of personal interest under the direction of teacher mentors while developing critical research and presentation skills. All research and hand-on experiences take place at home with parent direction. Teacher mentors check-in with students on a monthly basis leading to a presentation of their findings.
There are three components for parent direction:
1) reading
2) writing
3) hand-on experience
Students will be invited to join the program in the fall and culminating presentations occur in the spring, to be coordinated with a family event.
